USA FARM LABOR Gears Up for the Farm Progress Show

At USA FARM LABOR, we believe in getting out of the office and connecting face-to-face with the agricultural communities, businesses, and individuals we so proudly serve.

Our company is committed to serving with excellence and making a positive impact on those around us, but we can’t always do that from behind our computer screens.

That said, we’re excited to share the news that several members of the USA FARM LABOR team will be heading out to Boone, Iowa for the 2024 Farm Progress Show. This will be our company’s first visit to the Farm Progress Show but surely not our last.

Our professional H-2A agents love getting out in the community and attending trade shows nationwide.

USA FARM LABOR offers an innovative, personalized workforce solution for America’s farmers and agribusinesses, so attending Farm Progress is a natural fit for our company.

Let’s take a look at this year’s Farm Progress Show attendees and get their thoughts on one of the biggest ag events of the year.

What is the Farm Progress Show?

The inaugural Farm Progress Show took place in Illinois in 1953 with the idea that farmers from around the country, and the world, could learn about the latest growing technologies and connect with the companies responsible for pushing the boundaries of innovation in agriculture.

Since then, the Farm Progress Show has risen to international status as farmers, ranchers, and farm labor contractors (FLC) from around the globe gather to gain hands-on knowledge and come face-to-face with agribusinesses of all types.

With more than 600 exhibitors and demonstrators from around the world, the Farm Progress Show is now America’s largest outdoor ag show.

Farm Progress offers farmers and agribusiness professionals of all types and sizes to learn about the latest ag equipment, seed developments, crop chemicals, field demonstrations, livestock handling and equine events, Ride and Drive events, rural life programs and entertainment, arts and crafts, and more all in one convenient location.

Who is Attending the Farm Progress Show?

USA FARM LABOR will be one of more than 600 exhibitors at this year’s show. We’re sending several key members of the USA FARM LABOR staff to this nationwide ag event at the end of August, and they can’t wait to see you there. This will be the first time our company has attended Farm Progress, so to say we’re excited is an understatement.

We look forward to connecting with other agribusinesses but most importantly, we hope to build new relationships with those who need our services the most – America’s farmers and agribusiness operators.

Here’s a rundown of our staff that’s traveling to Boone at the end of August as they share their thoughts on the Farm Progress Show:

Manuel Fick, Owner, Founder, and CEO of USA FARM LABOR plus his wife, Kathy Fick, Owner and CFO

“Kathy and I, as owners of USA FARM LABOR, believe that we truly have had a win-win labor solution for the Agricultural Industry through the H2A program. The last 20 years have proven that with an ever-growing shortage of labor, the reliable H2A workers we provide radically change the playing field for a farmer. With enough competent and reliable labor, a farmer can plan and grow their operational footprint, get the work done, and strive to and usually attain a normal balanced family life. All our efforts and our workers' efforts revolve around our Agricultural clients and their needs, allowing for renewed hope and growth.

Meeting our potential clients face to face at the Farm Progress Show, helps us to truly hear their needs and creates the connection to build a lasting bridge between our clients and the H2A workers we provide. Sharing our services at these farmer-specific events lays the foundation for when an agricultural client/farmer reaches that point where they can not progress any further without the additional help we provide. We are excited and invigorated to mingle with the pure gold midwest breadbasket providers of our country.”

Noah Parr, Sales Director

“I am very excited for the upcoming Farm Progress Show (FPS). Attending events like the FPS has been an incredible opportunity for our staff to meet many of our clients, workers, as well as new faces. As a rapidly growing company, it can be really difficult to meet each new client so having the opportunity to meet many clients over the course of this one event really is a blessing and helps build a much deeper relationship than just over the phone. Hope to see you all there!”

Laura Miller, Operations Manager

“Trade shows such as Farm Progress allow us to come out from behind our computers and network with existing and prospective clients. We’ve worked hard this past year to build up our staff and revamp our company’s mission. Now, it’s time to go out and put everything together at one of the largest ag trade shows in the world. Farm Progress will give us a chance to get our brand in front of those who need our help the most – farmers and ag businesses. I can’t think of a better way to connect with our target clientele than attending trade shows such as Farm Progress. Be sure to come by our USA FARM LABOR booth and say hi!”

Jared Schwartz, Senior H-2A Consultant

“Farm Progress is one of the biggest ag events of the year, this will be my first time, but I’m excited to meet and greet America’s farmers to tell them about the benefits of our service and the ways H-2A can help their business grow.”

Wow. Powerful statements from some of our most tenured staff members. We’ll also have the father and son team of Jaco and Jandre Eksteen from USA TRUCK LABOR in South Africa along for the journey.

The Eksteen’s will make the trip from their home country of South Africa to join the USA FARM LABOR team at this event to spread information about their unique ag training and verification programs as well as learn more about our great country.

USA TRUCK LABOR is designed to give current and aspiring H-2A employees an avenue for learning new techniques and verifying their existing agriculture-related skills – both of which are a benefit to our clients and the American ag community.

We’re planning our exhibit as you read this and final trip preparations are well underway. Although we don’t have every detail ironed out, we will offer several giveaways such as USA FARM LABOR hats, bottle openers, and drink koozies.

Our expert staff will also be available to answer all of your H-2A questions. We’d like to welcome anyone to stop by our exhibit and get expert advice from the leading H-2A authority in the country – USA FARM LABOR.

Get in-person answers to your questions regarding the ways a skilled H-2A workforce can help your business grow, how to get started with the H-2A program, and how to stay in compliance with the rules and regulations of H-2A.
