USA FARM LABOR is Heading to the Big Iron Farm Show

It’s been a busy 2024 for the USA FARM LABOR team.

In May, we rolled out our new corporate Pinnacle model and revamped our mission statement.

In July, our Director of Sales, Noah Parr, and our Founder and CEO, Manuel Fick, along with a group of others, traveled across Illinois and Iowa to visit with some of our clients and meet their valuable H-2A employees, in person.

On top of our new initiative, we’re also starting to attend various industry trade shows and events.

Trade shows allow us to connect face-to-face with prospective and existing clients while raising brand awareness. Ag events, trade shows, and cross-country trips to visit clients help us get out from behind our computers and in front of the ones who need us most – America’s farmers and agribusinesses.

Between revamping our company’s vision, attending trade shows, and visiting our clients’ farm operations, the USA FARM LABOR staff has been on the move this summer.

The hustle and bustle of life as America’s most personalized, full-service H-2A agency isn’t slowing down anytime soon as the USA FARM LABOR team gears up for the Big Iron Farm Show in North Dakota this September.

The Big Iron Farm and Construction Show is one of the biggest ag events of the year. Vendors, farmers, agribusinesses, and construction professionals from across the country flock to Big Iron every September, and now USA FARM LABOR will be there too.

Let’s take a look at who’s representing USA FARM LABOR at the show, get their thoughts on the event, and share a few of the fun giveaways we’ll have for attendees of Big Iron.

What is the Big Iron Farm Show?

The Big Iron Farm and Construction Show is one of the biggest ag shows in the country. The first event took place in Casselton, North Dakota in 1980 to showcase the latest innovations and developments in Big Iron — machinery, equipment, and more.

That first event was a resounding success, so the event moved to the Red River Valley Fairgrounds in West Fargo, North Dakota the next season, in 1981. Over the years, the Big Iron Farm and Construction Show has transformed from an ag equipment show into a three-day event celebrating rural living in America.

Today, Big Iron showcases the very best in agribusiness, health, innovation, and technology!

This year’s event will take place over three days, September 10th-12th.

The Big Iron event has grown into one of the biggest annual ag events in the country. According to the Big Iron site, over 60,000 people attended the Big Iron event in 2023. It just makes sense that USA FARM LABOR attends this event.

USA FARM LABOR will be one of the 900+ exhibitors at Big Iron.

Since our agency offers the most personalized H-2A services in the nation, we’re excited to introduce our company and our services to new audiences. Our proprietary database, our global network of ethical recruiters, and our custom ag workforce solutions tailored to meet our clients’ needs all make us the perfect exhibitor for this type of event.

Who is representing usa farm labor at Big Iron?

We’re sending a diverse group of processing agents, salespeople, and workforce coordinators to the Big Iron Farm and Construction Show in September.

Together, our team is prepared to register new clients on the spot and we can often get an application started with just a few details.

The H-2A program is complex, so we must send some of our best and brightest to explain the nature of our agency and the benefits clients receive from our services.

Leading the Big Iron Show team is our Operations Manager, Laura Miller. She’ll be accompanied by one of our top Placement Coordinators, Helen Borcherds.

Also making the trip to Big Iron is one of our top sales associates, Tyler Carlisle, and one of our most knowledgeable and experienced application processing agents, Judy Brickle.

Our team is excited to make the trip but even more enthusiastic about meeting some of America’s top farmers and agribusiness professionals. Let’s get some of their thoughts on this upcoming event:

Laura Miller, Operations Manager

“We’re new to these trade shows but we fully expect these events will give us a chance to grow our brand and connect with new clients. Of course, I’m excited to make those connections but I’m more excited to do it in person at Big Iron. We’re bringing an all-star team to head up our exhibit, so we have high hopes for the show, but if we can make a difference for just one farmer or one business, the event will be a success for us.”

Helen Borcherds, Placement Coordinator

“I’m so excited to get out of the office and attend Big Iron with my colleagues. I look forward to traveling, but I really look forward to meeting new clients and explaining our services to them. As a Placement Coordinator, I’m one of the main contacts for our clients and I hear just how grateful they are for our services every day… we make a difference for them. I’m excited to bring that experience to new clients who might not know agencies like ours exist.”

Tyler Carlisle, Sales Associate

“I’m just really excited about the networking opportunities and learning more about the workforce needs of our clients, in person. You can only learn so much about them over the phone. I want to get some in-person feedback and possibly even learn more about our client’s pain points as they relate to the H-2A program. Our business is complex, so I’m trying to gain as much insight into their needs as possible. Big Iron is also an excellent opportunity for us to connect with other industry professionals.”

Judy Brickle, Processing Agent

“It is always exciting when you have the opportunity to meet your clients face to face. We develop a deeper level of connection that we cannot fully achieve through calls. Ideas will flourish with face-to-face meetings.”

The Big Iron team is excited about the potential of this event. We hope to make a positive impact in West Fargo, North Dakota, and change some lives in the process.
